This week came with a new theme and new challenges, so here’s how my third module went. In the third module, the course focused on clothes, fast fashion, and the environmental issues connected to the fashion industry. The main goals for this week were to use collocations related to the environment, learn expressions about money, and use different future tenses to talk about plans, assumptions, and predictions. The module also emphasized identifying implied messages and using social media to raise awareness of social issues. This week had a completely different theme and took me deeper into expressive language and the world of art, so here’s how it went. In this second module, the course focused on how art influences our lives and how to talk about it using more expressive and natural-sounding English. The learning objectives for Week 2 included using expressive language in conversation, applying modifiers to enhance meaning, and using ellipsis and adverbs for emphasis to communicate more smoothly. I picked the option to find my own difficulty, I did three units and I will tell you the method each of the unit used to present a fun leaning experience. Unit 1 For Unit 1, they used the topic of travelling alone (solo). The question types they used consist of six kinds. First, there’s the usual fill-in-the-blank type, where Duolingo presents us with situations we might encounter when travelling alone for example, asking for directions, recounting experiences, dealing with problems while travelling, and many more.
